Angel runs "Mogenic," a website that serves as a nexus for gay and lesbian youth from around the globe. His website is extremely popular -- receiving over 2.5 million hits per month. As he says, "Mogenic is a special place on the World Wide Web where gay and lesbian youth have the freedom to exchange ideas, share experiences, discuss coming out, make friends, read interesting content and most importantly: make contact." (BTW Mogenic is run on a volunteer basis and donations of time and money are welcome).

Angel is a Sagittarian, meaning that he has the Sun in the sign of the Archer. This makes him a fun-loving, carefree, optimistic and enthusiastic character. The placement of the Sun in his 10th House (of career and aspirations) also makes him quite ambitious and out to earn respect for himself and others. He's certainly done this with his quality website. Interestingly, Angel's Sun is conjunct the Sagittarian Ascendant of the chart for the U.S.A., and some 70% of visitors to Mogenic come from that country.

Angel has said:

"Alex was living with a foster family when we spoke. His real mother was always drunk so she couldn't help him. His father beat him and raped him, and also rented him out to friends for money. It was horrible. Eventually he got kicked out. He went to live on the streets and that's when he became a prostitute, until the foster family came along. After a while with them, he went online, and started up a website." (cited in Engell)

Angel has a rare Shape in his chart: the Sling. This means that all of his planets are assembled within a "Bundle" of 120° except for one planet (the "singleton" or "handle") which is found directly opposite the midpoint of the others. A person born with a Sling shape has a singularity of purpose, and the type of purpose is marked by the singleton planet.
