Kitty Raymond PoMoSexual Astrologer, Writer, Editor, Web Consultant "The fundamental insecurity of one's sense of self, its power and boundaries, is more or less the basis of our every interaction with others; every action and reaction is ultimately based on a need to assert ourselves to reassure ourselves that we exist and we are who we think we are or want to be...We find labels to identify "with" or "as," but we are never identical with these labels and we can never really identify ourselves... Ultimately, we are never perfectly identical with any set identity, so we go on searching throughout life for more beliefs, interests, tastes, labels -- determined that if our identity cannot have form it should at least have substance." Kitty Raymond in The Fetishized Me (1996).

Several "Queer" articles on sexuality issues written by Kitty Raymond (see above quote and
bibliography below) were published in 1996-97. Through her article in PoMoSexuals,
Raymond reiterated her point that sexual identities are indeterminate and conceptually unstable
-- regardless of how we try to invest them with "substance."
Co-inciding with the publication of these works, Solar Arc progressed Neptune
(the dissolver) at 1-2° Capricorn had moved into opposition with its
dispositor, her natal Saturn (the structurer)!
Moreover, transiting Neptune/Uranus
(dissolution/queerness) in Capricorn/Aquarius (structure/instability)
reached the cusp of her natal 8th House (of sexuality) to form the
point of a T-Square with her natal Sun - Uranus opposition.
Meanwhile, transiting Pluto (planet of sexuality) hovered on the cusp of her 6th
House (of gender studies). And these planets formed
a tetchy Yod, by all quincunxing her Ascendant (the Angle of identity)...
